Alton Elementary Schools
Alton Village has planned to accommodate two elementary schools (one public school and one catholic school). Currently neither has been built.
The public elementary school, built by the Halton District School Board, will begin development in the fall of 2011 with an anticipated opening of September 2013. This school will be located on Steeplechase Drive (top left school on map below).
Although there is currently land owned by the Halton Catholic District School Board in Alton (school in top-right of map shown below) to build a Catholic elementary school, the board is currently undecided if this school will be built.
Alton Secondary School
Alton village will have one secondary school. This school will be built by the Halton District School Board, meaning it will be a public high school. This school will be located on Tim Dobbie Way and Hwy 5 (school at bottom of the map shown below) and will open September 2013.
